Therapy, also referred to as counseling or psychotherapy, is a clinical based approach to treating mental health issues such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, PTSD or eating disorders. Oftentimes, therapy involves analyzing past experiences and trauma that help inform or explain current situations. Therapists diagnose, assess, and provide treatment of mental disorders. Therapy tends to be a long-term commitment as it involves unstructured sessions that are guided by clients focusing on the “why” with a goal of overall mental health.

A traditional life coach, who is not a medical or healthcare professional, meets their clients in the present moment and focus on the future. They clarify goals, identify obstacles, problematic behaviors and create action plans to achieve desired results. Life coaching sessions are structured and are focused on the “how” with actionable strategies and visible growth. The commitment is a shorter duration with the goal of setting up clients with the processes and skills to eventually coach themselves.

A holistic life coach does everything a traditional life coach does while also focusing on the connection between mind, body, spirit and emotions. Holistic life coaching looks at the person as a whole. It emphasizes spiritual, holistic methods and tools to improve a clients overall emotional and physical well-being to help them live a more authentic, mindful, and intentional life.

Coaching and therapy complement each other as the benefits to the client will be much more substantial in improving their overall quality of life and healing mentally. Both a therapist and a coach engage in dialogue about the client’s inner-self and encourage and provide solutions for life challenges that instill lasting personal accountability and development.

Being a Holistic Life Coach is the one profession where overcoming adversity has made me better at what I do. As a Holistic Life Coach, I combine my life experiences with extensive training in practical neuroscience, positive psychology, resilience, wellness, and mind-body practices. With these skills, I can coach you through difficult situations and help you improve your self-awareness and confidence.

While I continue to grow and evolve (apart from my son’s cancer and divorce) I can proudly say some of the challenging situations I have also faced and overcome is years of significant financial hardships, twenty years of body dysmorphia, emotional and binge eating and paralyzing fear of failure that comes with being an ultra-achiever.

Although I was going through these difficult times, I put on a brave face to maintain success in my professional career in corporate America. I have over 25 years of experience working in the aerospace, financial and real estate industries. It was an absolute challenge to juggle it all without completely breaking. I gave myself no choice but to persevere knowing my children depended on me to keep it together.

My ability to overcome these life-altering situations has made me who I am today. After almost twenty years, I am now at a place in my life where I have confidently honed my life experiences, education, and training. With these skills, I have created a unique, authentic coaching offering, unlike anything you’ve experienced before.

Life Change Coaching

I will help you understand the process of change, give you a partner to guide you as you find your way, encourage you to look ahead to where you’re going, and help you plan where you want to land. Some life change events are relationship changes, birth of a child or kids leaving home, health challenges, financial challenges forcing lifestyle changes, forced job or career changes. Regardless of the type of transition you might be facing, I will help you facilitate your growth and learning as you find your own path, help you build on your strengths and find new talents you weren’t aware of.

Discovery Call

I provide a no-obligation, complimentary 45-60 minute session where we will get to know each other, how I work, and if we are a match for each other. We will discuss packages, programs, payment options and start date if you choose to work with me.

How It Works

Holistic and integrative approaches are personally tailored to your unique health, healing, and wellness goals. Together, we’ll design a weekly pathway to create a powerful connection between mind and body, and a healthier relationship between your thoughts, feelings, habitual behaviors, and your lifestyle and food choices.

We’ll meet every week or fortnightly, in-person or via Zoom, and work through a customized, micro-step program of daily self-care, lifestyle and stress reduction practices that honor your values, protect your boundaries, and support your mind and body into whole-self-loving alignment.

Initial consultations are 1.5 hours to identify your needs, challenges, beliefs, and strengths (1-hour sessions thereafter). I recommend that sessions are held regularly to keep momentum and allow enough time and space to reflect.
